Ventura Secret Beach Destination

Ventura is the gateway to Channel Islands National Park. It's a laid back beach town that doesn't get the credit its older and more established cousin Santa Barbara does. They have a great downtown area laden with bars and restaurants with great food and ambiance. The beach, harbor, and pier area are really nice with a wide pedestrian and bike trails and great rocks to stack and even driftwood to collect.
